Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much does custom paint cost for items like helmets and motorcycles?

Cost is one of the most common questions. Prices vary depending on the item, condition, design complexity, and amount of airbrushing involved. Here are some starting prices:

2. Do you offer warranties on your custom paint work?

Yes. We stand behind every complete paint job. Our warranty guarantees that the paint and finish will not fade, peel, crack, bubble, or delaminate for 36 months from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only to complete paint jobs.

3. How many coats of clear do you apply?

We typically apply four to six coats of clear. For extra protection and depth, you can choose a double-clear option, which includes water sanding, an additional four to six coats of clear, then buffing and polishing.

Additional cost: helmets are $150, and motorcycles are $300 for this treatment.

4. How does shipping work, and do you ship to military bases?

Shipping charges vary, but they are usually close to what you pay to send the item to our shop. We recommend including a return shipping label. The only additional charge is usually for insurance.

Yes, we ship anywhere UPS, USPS, or FedEx will deliver, including military bases.

  • Protective packaging matters: Use packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or other padding to protect your helmet or parts during shipping.
  • Declare the value: Let us know the value of your item so we can arrange proper insurance for the return shipment.
  • Direct shipping from vendors: If you are buying a helmet online, you can have it shipped directly to our shop to save time and money.
  • Include your contact information: Please include your name, phone number, and email address inside the box.
  • Preferred return shipping: We usually use USPS Priority, which typically takes two to three days.
  • Use the right box size: For masks or helmets, try to use a box no larger than 12x12 when possible to help reduce shipping costs.

5. Can I visit your shop, and what are your hours?

Yes, but please call ahead. Shop visits are by appointment only.

6. Do you provide concept sketches, and what subjects can you paint?

Yes. Concept sketches are available for a fee: $75 for helmets and $225 for motorcycles.

We can paint a wide range of subjects, including eagles, wolves, skulls, fantasy art, portraits, flames, true fire, graphics, and more.
